Couples Therapy

Every Relationship Deserves a Safe Place to Grow

Whether you're newly engaged, decades into marriage, or somewhere in between, relationships can be both deeply fulfilling and incredibly challenging. Conflict, disconnection, and life stressors don’t mean your relationship is broken—they mean you're human.

I offer couples therapy in Nashville, TN (in person) and virtually across Tennessee and South Carolina to help partners reconnect, rebuild trust, and communicate more effectively.

My Approach to Couples Therapy

I work from a relational, attachment-based lens, using proven methods like the Gottman Method and emotionally attuned interventions to help couples:

  • Improve communication and understand each other more clearly

  • Manage conflict in healthier, more productive ways

  • Rebuild emotional and physical intimacy

  • Navigate parenting and family responsibilities without losing connection

  • Recover from betrayal or broken trust

  • Re-establish shared meaning, values, and goals

In sessions, I strive to balance empathy with honesty. You’ll each have space to be heard—and you’ll also be gently challenged when needed to move toward growth. I’m here to guide, not take sides.

Why Couples Seek Therapy

Couples counseling isn’t just for relationships in crisis—it’s for anyone who wants to build a healthier, more intentional connection. I support couples navigating:

  • Premarital counseling and preparing for long-term commitment

  • Infidelity and affair recovery

  • Communication breakdowns and conflict cycles

  • Parenting challenges and family stress

  • Emotional disconnection or feeling like “roommates”

  • Recurring arguments about the same issues

  • Navigating major life transitions or decisions

Whether you're in a season of healing or simply want to grow together, couples therapy can offer the space and skills to move forward with clarity and care.

Session Options for Couples

To ensure both partners feel heard and supported from the start, all couples begin with an 80-minute intake session. This gives us the time and space to understand your relationship dynamics, goals, and areas of concern.

After the intake, we’ll decide together what session length will best support your work as a couple:

  • 50-minute sessions may be appropriate for focused, ongoing support

  • 80-minute sessions are often recommended to allow for deeper processing and balanced participation from both partners

  • 2.5–4 hour therapy intensives are available for couples who want to address more complex challenges or make significant progress in fewer sessions
